Carolyn Richards is an award winning, radio charting recording artist from southeastern Ohio. She is internationally known, and admired for her vocal abilities by fans and peers alike. She may be better known in parts of Australia, Holland, Belgium, Canada, France, and Germany than in most areas of the United States.

Carolyn has appeared on a number of local and national TV shows, such as The Master's Music, The Jimmy Snow Show, Share, and The Music City Gospel Showcase. Her gospel CD was distributed nationwide and internationally advertised during the Christian Country Music Awards.

Carolyn has released several songs to radio. Her first did not make the charts, but the next five hit the top fifty on several charts. Two of her songs reached the top ten on the gospel charts. She was recognized as the #5 most played gospel artist in the world for two months in a row. An independent chart listed her among the top three percent of country vocalists worldwide [#96 of more than 3500].

Carolyn has performed in a variety of venues from Maryland to Idaho, Montana to Texas, and back home to Ohio. She has appeared with some of the greatest stars of country and gospel, and in some of the most famous venues in the USA.

Carolyn has sung at the Ryman in Nashville, TN [where she first met Merle Haggard backstage]; the Palace Theatre in Marion, OH; the Paramount Theatre in Anderson, IN; the Branson Mall, Branson, MO; the Sagebrush Roundup in Fairmont, WV, and many other great stages. She has appeared along with such stars as Brooks & Dunn, Collin Raye, Linda Davis, Merle Haggard, Bill Anderson, Jeannie Kendall, "The Tall Texan" Billy Walker, The Fox Brothers, Young Harmony, Dottie Rambo, Margo Smith, David L. Cook, Jeff Treece, Mackenzie Morgan, Carolyn Connors, James Marvell, Billy Hale, Don Frost, Jimmy Snow, and many others. She is well respected by her peers.

Carolyn Richards manages it all with the help of her husband, Dave Butcher. He helps develop the show programs, bookings, web sites, and emcees many of her shows. He wrote the title song of her gospel album, 'Everything's Alright'. Dave has been elected 'Reciter of the Year' the past three years in a row by his peers, the members of the Country Gospel Music Association - Eastern USA division. In 2005, he went on to be elected "International Reciter of the Year". This past year he was also elected "Lyricist of the Year' for his original poetry.
